St. Joseph's L.P School Vellilappilly

On 22nd May 1916, this school is established at Chirakandam. Its first name was Vazhackal L.P School. Sri. Ulahannan Vadakkan was the first Manager. On 1st May 1940, the management handed over to the Superior of S.H Convent Vellilappilly. It helped to the easy running of the school. After this, Sr. James Kambakathumkal, Sr. Kochutheresia Paimbillil, Sr. Viani Cherunilam, Sr. Flowerlet, Sr. Thomasina, Sr. Beninja, Sr. Evangelist, Sr. Felix, Sr. Villaim Mary, Sr. Mary Cyriac, Sr. Elsa Francis, Sr. Felcitta were the heads of this institution. Now Rev. Sr. Rose James is the headmistress, Sr. Grace Mattom and Smt. Mini M Mathew are the co-workers.
